Maize Mills, for example, are notorious for having problems with material adhering to spouting, trunking etc. due to the nature of the raw material which has very high oil and fat content. This causes considerable amounts of very fine, sticky (soft) maize flour dust to accumulate on the inner surfaces of the pipework and can substantially reduce the pipe diameter leading to potential chokes (blockages) in the system. The Rotaflex is strong enough to deal with tough blockages yet will not cause any damage to spouts and pipe work.

Using The Rotaflex
Rotaflex is easy for one person to operate, occasionally assisted by a colleague on a lower floor, who confirms when the brush or de-scaler has appeared at a service door or open spout. The motor is then started and the flexi-drive gradually withdrawn from the spout, with the brush or de-scaler rotating at the chosen speed and cleaning as it goes.
The latest version of Rotaflex features a new electronic controller, which provides the required 3-phase, variable-speed power supply and eliminates the heavy transformer found in older models. This means Rotaflex becomes even easier to handle and move around the mill.
The flexible driveshaft has also been improved, with the addition of a blue, food-grade covering. The flexi-drive is so robust, a truck can literally drive over it! For longer mill spouts, there is also a heavy-duty, chassis-based version of Rotaflex that can power a 20 metre flexi-drive. New Rotaflex machines are bundled with an 8 or 12m metre flexi-drive and a set of cleaning brushes of the customer’s choice.
